Kathy Smith

An engineer’s perspective. A designer’s eye.

Kathy is the owner and president of Lakenetwork. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and has developed more than 200 websites. Before her work in web design, she spent ten years designing software interfaces in the controls industry. Her first website project was an internal graphical interface for an AI-powered system designed to optimize combustion and minimize NOx and SOx emissions from boilers at coal-fired power plants. That combination of technical understanding and visual thinking shapes the way she approaches a website.
